Advice/Q&A
Neubauer's Nuggets

To My Readers:

In early November, my husband and I suspended most of our activities until January so we could care for my mother-in-law. I'm sorry to let you know that she has passed away.

We received dozens of e-mails expressing support and prayers for her. We read all of them to her before she passed and she wanted me to tell you all how much she was moved and appreciated this loving support. We can't thank you enough for your kindness. It meant so much to Steve and me as well.

Many of you have asked how you can provide additional support in her name. The wonderful caring people at Rural Hospice Inc. helped my mother-in-law and us through this difficult time. If you could find it in your heart to help them provide for more families in the future, we'd be most appreciative. Please send your donations in Elenor Neubauer's name to:

Finally, here is the obituary that appeared in the local Alpine, TX newspaper:

Elenor Marie Neubauer

1924 - 2006

Elenor Marie Russell Neubauer passed away at her home in Alpine, TX on November 18, 2006 after a brief illness. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, she was the wife of Francis Neubauer and together they raised their family in Morrisville, PA.

In 1974 they retired to Florida where they lived until Francis' death in 2002. At that time, she came to live in Georgetown, TX with her son and his family. In 2005, they moved to Alpine, TX where they have lived for the past 15 months. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and a member of the Texas Mountain Trail Writers.

Elenor is survived by her son Stephen, of Alpine, TX; her daughter Patricia Ward, of Spring Hill, Florida; a daughter Judith Neubauer, of Princeton, NJ; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family extends its deep gratitude for the care and comfort provided by the angels at Rural Hospice, Inc. The loving support of Diane Hendrus, Kim Holden, Marcia Vick, and Judy Eron made all the difference in the world. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to this wonderful organization so they can continue to help others in the community during their difficult days. Please send your donations to: Rural Hospice Inc., 604 East Ave. F Alpine, TX 79830.

Again thank you so much,
Joan & Steve Neubauer
