For my own development as a writer, IN has been an invaluable resource. Indeed, from its wealth of information I have learned about many aspects of the craft that I had previously not considered, and I don’t hesitate to say that my writing has improved because of the exhaustive content that the website has provided on a monthly basis.
That being said, since constant improvement is the goal of any organization, I am pleased at the announced renovations to the IN website and overall organizational scheme. Rowdy and Julie have already proven that they are capable of delivering high-quality, professional content, and I look forward to being a part of the newly-designed IN, which will surely be bigger, better, and stronger than its past incarnation.
As for my own activities during 2008, in addition to my professional editing duties, I will be searching for an agent to represent my novel, finding new markets for my journalistic output, regularly updating my podcast, and writing every chance I get.
Though I will miss working together with the talented IN crew this year, I very much look forward to 2009 and the challenges that a shiny, new IN will bring.
